My beautiful beloved wife, Mary Veronica Aaron was born February 15th, 1936 in cane River, Louisiana to Milton Colson and Veronica Metoyer Colson. She grew up in the Catholic faith and had attended St. Augustine Catholic School and was valedictorian of her high school. She met Felix Aaron Jr on Thanksgiving Day in 1955 and was married in December of 1956. She had two children, a daughter, Constance Maria Aaron Metoyer (Charles) and a son, Felix Milton Aaron III. They gave her two grandchildren, Justin Michael Metoyer and Andrea Veronica Aaron. She has a brother, John Oswald Colson and nieces, Theresa and Tracey plus many cousins.

Veronica was the most delightful and humble person I have ever known. So loving and caring for others. She would say the rosary daily from the night we were married until the day she couldn't speak any more due to Alzheimer about five years ago. Veronica was so strong in her faith, she became an Eucharistic Minister to glorify our Lord and the Blessed Mother. I'm living proof of that, because she had a big part in changing my heart to our Lord through her example and devotion.

She never complained about her condition that Alzheimer's had on her. Gradually declining her for the last sixteen or seventeen years. It took everything out of her. It's grip was so hard on her, it squeezed everything out of her, right down to the last breathe. So I know she's happy now in heaven rejoicing with our Lord and her family. So sweetie, please pray for me 'til we meet again to share everlasting love for eternity.

~Felix Aaron Jr
